Community Fund History

The community fund was created originally for those who, prior to the 28th of February 2018, had provably donated to a privacy DAG project which turned out to have no activity or substance. Community Fund participants were allocated free Tangrams proportional to their donations lost to other failed or scam projects. The initiative closed with 56.73% of the fund allocation claimed.

After discussion with the community, it was decided to make the remaining 43.27% of the fund (2.16% of the total supply) available to the community via contributions.

The Founder's Percentage was cut by some amount to enable reducing the price, and increase the amount of TGM available to 4.32% of the total supply.

The price was initially set to $0.05 USD / TGM, and increased to $0.07 USD / TGM after the release of Testnet 2 in December 2020.

The current contribution rate is: $0.07 USD / TGM

  • ($TGM) will NOT be usable or transferable until the launch of the mainnet genesis block. That is to say, when you have claimed ($TGM), you will not be able to do anything with it until the genesis block launches.
  • ($TGM) is initially set to 1 ($TGM) per 0.07 USD.
  • Value of ($TGM) is determined at the time of transaction.
  • Contributors will be contacted prior to mainnet launch in order to receive ($TGM) by the email that they have shared.
  • ($TGM) is a value transfer system, NOT a security or investment offering. ($TGM) is simply a coin useful for transferring value within the Tangram platform; it does not give you voting rights over anything, and we make no guarantees of its future value.
  • The sole purpose of the Community Fund is NOT to value the network or software but rather support the growth and development of Tangram.
  • All contributions for ($TGM) are final. Contributions / purchases of ($TGM) are non-refundable. By purchasing ($TGM), the purchaser acknowledges that neither Tangram. Nor any other parties are required to provide a refund for any reason and that the purchaser will not receive money or other compensation for any ($TGM) that is not used or remains used within the Tangram network.
